Donald Lee Massie-Jr, known to many as Don, passed away on February 26, 2024, in Bloomingburg, Ohio, at the age of 65. He was born on May 6, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio. He was a self-starter who found joy in running his own business.
Don was a fun-loving individual, a bit of a prankster, who cherished the outdoors. He often expressed his love for nature by saying, "I love to decorate God's green earth." Additionally, he had a passion for writing songs and poetry, some of which were published.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lori, his twin daughters Laura-Dawn Lee Massie and Lila-Ann Lee Massie, and daughter, Allison Pierce, his step-children, his sisters, Mary Coey and Donna Massie, nieces and nephews, as well as his grandchildren, Arionna and Austin, Don held many roles in his life, including son, father, step-father, uncle, grandpa, cousin, and friend, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. He also leaves behind his beloved cat Kray-ola.
Don was preceded in death by his father, Donald Massie, his mother, Mary Durban, and his daughter, Michelle Massie-Houston, along with his oldest sister.
Don's memory will be cherished by all whose lives he touched, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place with no formal services planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
